Vice President, Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Change Lead

The Liquidity Regulatory Reporting (LRR) team is responsible for daily and monthly reporting and submission of the FR2052A report for multiple entities under Mizuho US Operations. The team also produces and monitors daily LCR reporting derived from FR2052A data.

In this role, you will lead and manage the Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Change team, partner with the Reporting Production Teams to implement various change initiatives, steer the introduction of new product review and testing processes, assist in implementing critical data quality validation rules, prioritize and remediate data quality issues, and develop a comprehensive change governance framework for the FR2052A reporting process.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Change team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team effectiveness and individual growth.
  • Take ownership of the end‑to‑end FR2052A change process, overseeing the preparation of business requirements, defining test scripts, and validating UAT & post‑day‑1 implementation results, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to define the change governance framework of the FR2052A reporting process and support internal and external audits.
  • Develop an issue management framework to assess materiality and prioritize issues for remediation.
  • Assist in the implementation of the FR2052A Target Operating Model.
  • Collaborate with Treasury Liquidity Management on changes planned for remediation to ensure alignment with ILST.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • 7‑10 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or a related field, with proven leadership and team‑building skills.
  • In‑depth understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, with experience defining governance and control frameworks in a regulatory reporting context; prior experience with FR2052A reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of providing strategic insights into complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing regulations and business requirements while guiding the team through transitions.

The expected base salary ranges from $120,000 to $185,000. Salary offers are based on a range of factors including skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market conditions. Successful candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus.

Other Requirements Mizuho has a hybrid working program, with varying opportunities for remote work depending on the role, department needs, and local laws. Some roles may require greater in‑office presence, which will be communicated during the recruitment process.
