Search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property title, primarily for residential properties. Gather information and create a commitment of title before passing along to a Title Officer.

• Perform title examination and review the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily residential.
• Abstract and analyze records – mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books – to determine ownership, legal restrictions, and verify legal description.
• Resolve most issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in title documentation.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation based on procedural guidelines.
• Prepare and review reports for accuracy.
• Provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of Florida Title Examination experience.
• State license(s) if required.
• Detail/quality orientation.
• Analytical review skills.

• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Communication skills, verbal and written.
• Customer service orientation.
• Standard MS skill set.
• Proficient with company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terms helpful.

Pay Range: $26.21 – $34.95 hourly
