Associate Accountant

Join our Financial Control team and play a key role in ensuring integrity of financial data in the ledger. Functionally, you will be expected to be very hands‑on with reconciliations and control for the businesses you are supporting. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location. In this role, you will apply your accounting knowledge to review sub‑system postings, reconcile balances, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of ledger data for reporting and tax requirements. You will identify and resolve breaks, engage with business teams and external stakeholders, and escalate issues as needed. The position also requires an understanding of chart of accounts, posting rules, and the accounting for various financial products such as futures, bonds, and cash equities.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting paired with one year of related experience preferred
• Willingness and ability to collaborate globally
• Willingness to accept increasing responsibility to grow within the department
• Professional written and communication skills
• Ability to maintain deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
