Associate Advisor

Join our dynamic team as a full‑time Associate Financial Advisor in a remote capacity. You will collaborate directly with a Lead Advisor at Root to learn our robust planning processes and begin sitting in on meetings immediately. The purpose of this role is to prepare you to become a Lead Advisor at Root where you will benefit from our thriving digital marketing funnel.

As a financial advisor at Root, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating positive financial outcomes for clients while focusing on Root’s overarching value of service.

• Prepare for client meetings alongside your Lead Advisor
• Determine which types of accounts to open for clients
• Actively communicate with clients to request documentation, answer questions, follow up after meetings, etc.
• Provide 401(k) recommendations for clients
• Become an expert in Right Capital, Holistiplan, our CRM, and other software
• Provide unparalleled service to clients and Root team members

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• The ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
• 2–5 prior years of experience in the financial planning industry
• Experience with Dimensional Funds is a plus
• Experience with Right Capital and Holistiplan is a plus
• CFP exam passed preferred

• Competitive pay. Base starts between $75k–$95k with 15% bonus eligibility
