Bilingual Specialist, Credit Card Lending - REMOTE
BMO is inviting candidates for the Bilingual Specialist, Credit Card Lending – Remote role.
Work ArrangementFull‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Remote/virtual. Working hours Monday–Friday 8am–9pm and Saturday 9am–7pm.
Responsibilities- Makes credit decisions/recommendations according to sound credit‑granting principles.
- Provides credit and lending‑related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects.
- Advises customers on borrowing strategies and products that meet objectives.
- Manages all transactional outcomes of customer contacts or defers to appropriate internal business groups.
- Escalates complex or unresolved customer situations to managers.
- Performs documentation to ensure requests are accurately processed.
- Maintains current knowledge of personal banking and lending products and integrates into conversations.
- Researches and investigates lending applications following established processes.
- Handles customer contacts in an informed, professional, and efficient manner.
- Integrates marketing promotions and programs where appropriate.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Identifies and reports suspicious patterns related to money laundering.
- Adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements (Anti‑Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, FCAC, Privacy Act).
- Uses authorized credit qualifications as needed.
- Completes complex & diverse tasks within given rules/limits.
- Analyzes issues and determines next steps.
- May provide training and coaching to junior associates.
- Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination.
- Knowledge of personal lending and home financing products.
- Knowledge of competitive marketplace and product trends.
- Knowledge of contact centre operational processes and policies.
- Knowledge of call centre technology, processes and metrics.
- Term Investment Qualified (as required).
- Specialized knowledge.
- Verbal & written communication skills – good in both French and English.
- Organization skills – good.
- Collaboration & team skills – good.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills – good.
Salary range: $36,600.00 – $67,500.00.
