People Cert is looking for a Corporate Development Associate / Senior Associate who will join the Corporate Development Department. As a Corporate Development Associate / Senior Associate, you will play a key role in supporting People Cert's Corporate Development strategy, identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities, and supporting the execution of M&A transactions.

• Supporting A-Z the corporate development team in sourcing, evaluating and analyzing potential M&A opportunities.
• Working with cross-functional teams to design and execute the full M&A lifecycle, including company, market, and competitive analysis; project management; negotiation support; pricing and financial impact assessment (e.g., financial modelling and sensitivity analyses); deal structuring; due diligence coordination; and preparation of transaction documentation.
• Preparing presentations and other materials for executive leadership and board meetings related to M&A opportunities.
• Collaborating closely with internal and external functions (e.g., legal, finance).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in top corporate environments (banking, consulting, private equity).
• For the Associate role: 5+ years’ experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Development.
• For the Senior Associate role: 8+ years’ experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Development.
• Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, e.g., Language Cert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus). Good knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset.
• Excellent IT skills, ECDL Core/Expert certification will be considered a plus.
• Excellent Project Management skills, PRINCE2 certification will be considered an advantage.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) – Any person who is engaged by People Cert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check before commencing duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by People Cert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Financial background check
• Employment reference check.
• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
