Salary Range: $4,409 - $6,736 (Non‑PERS). Effective Jan. 1, 2026 will include a 2.5% COLA.
Duration: Limited call‑up until 06/30/2027 or until permanent funding is approved. Position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
Work ArrangementThe role follows a hybrid model. Onsite presence is required for activities that benefit from collaboration, training, or onsite resources. Remote workers must have a reliable, secure internet connection and maintain a professional environment, guaranteeing the same level of performance, responsiveness, communication, and availability as in office.
Responsibilities- Provide analytical, research, and data support to the Fiscal Transparency Unit’s statewide fiscal health and early‑warning program.
- Conduct structured analysis of district financial data, including baseline analysis, trend analysis, and year‑over‑year comparisons.
- Support fiscal health dashboards, workflows, and monthly refresh cycles.
- Identify anomalies or early‑warning indicators.
- Assist in preparing district fiscal profiles.
- Support the fiscal health and PBAM implementation work streams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public or Non‑Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical or technical discipline.
- OR at least three years of experience in management, policy, program analysis, or technical‑level budgetary support activities.
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Comfort working with Excel and financial systems, with interest in developing technical and data skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, explaining financial information straightforwardly.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with analysts, accountants, and stakeholders.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude toward feedback, growth, and continuous improvement.
