Position Summary

As our Domestic Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the Company’s domestic direct compliance, tax provisions and reporting, audits, and planning. This position reports to the Director, Global Tax and works closely with third parties and internal financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and legal teams.
What You'll Do- Manage quarterly and annual income tax provision process, including the preparation and/or review of calculations, memos, account reconciliations, journal entries, effective tax rate, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 (US GAAP)
- Manage, and coordinate with third parties, the preparation, review and filing of the company's US direct tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions, and ensure timely and accurate filing and tax payments
- Manage domestic direct tax audits and assist with indirect tax audits as needed
- Manage tax notices and other inquiries from tax authorities, including timely notice resolution
- Assist with billing inquiries, including working with billing team to timely and effectively resolve customer inquiries
- Monitor changes in domestic tax laws and regulations, analyze and model the impact on the Company's tax positions and policies, and provide verbal and/or written communication of conclusions to leadership and other key stakeholders
- Manage global tax filing calendar, including coordination with International Tax Manager, to ensure timely and accurate filing of returns
- Assist with establishing scalable internal controls, documentation standards, and processes that strengthen governance across the global tax function
- Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes to drive operational efficiency and innovation
- Identify and help maximize US tax incentives and credits including R&D and EZ credits
- Assist with M&A due diligence, post‑acquisition integration, and legal entity structure planning
- Partner with treasury team to ensure effective management of cash pools to ensure timely funding of global tax payments
- Provide support with company, finance, and tax strategic initiatives and projects
This role is hybrid, based out of headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. We Succeed Together through in‑person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a multinational corporation tax department
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax legislation
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and receptive to change and process improvement
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Advanced organization, analytical, and research skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate, simplify, and communicate (both verbal and written) complex information to individuals with varying levels of tax knowledge and external partners
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience with direct and indirect tax compliance solutions (e.g., One Source Tax Provision, One Source sales tax, etc.)
- CPA and/or a master’s degree in taxation
