Salary: $125,000 starting and negotiable

We’re looking for a strategic, forward‑thinking Tax Manager to lead and grow our tax team. This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, client advisory, and operational excellence. This is a full‑time remote role, and the right person will be included in decision‑making as part of the leadership team. Tax preparation and tax review experience is highly needed

• ✅ Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of tax professionals
• ✅ Oversee complex tax compliance and planning engagements for businesses and individuals
• ✅ Collaborate with legal and accounting / Fractional CFO counterparts to deliver holistic client solutions
• ✅ Manage and grow client relationships through proactive tax strategy and advisory
• ✅ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws – with a sharp eye for planning opportunities
• ✅ Develop and implement scalable workflows and technology integrations (we use Ignition, Karbon, and more)
• ✅ Stay ahead of tax law changes and advise both clients and internal teams accordingly

• CPA or EA is not necessary, but one must be able to obtain rapidly
• 2+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a public accounting or multidisciplinary environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication – you can explain complex tax concepts in plain English
• Strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach
• Comfortable working in a fast‑growing, tech‑forward, collaborative environment
• Someone who has worked extensively with a workflow / practice management tool like Karbon
