Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Senior Fixed Income Credit Analyst to join the team!

Job Overview

The Senior Fixed Income Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and making recommendations on fixed income investments within the insurance company’s general account portfolio. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the company achieves its investment objectives of preserving capital, generating stable returns, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and rating agency requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis on public and private investment‑grade, fixed income issuers and securities.
  • Evaluate financial statements, management quality, business models, rating actions, and industry trends to develop forward‑looking credit opinions.
  • Monitor macroeconomic trends and interest rate movements to further inform investment decisions.
  • Identify relative value opportunities across sectors and capital structures.
  • Ensure credit decisions align with the company’s risk tolerance, asset‑liability management (ALM) needs, and insurance regulatory guidelines (including NAIC designations and RBC considerations).
  • Develop and present buy/hold/sell recommendations to portfolio managers and contribute to sector outlooks and investment strategy discussions.
  • Execute and monitor trades in accordance with portfolio strategy, compliance guidelines, and market conditions.
  • Monitor existing holdings for changes in creditworthiness, covenant compliance, and potential rating actions.
  • Work closely within risk management models to ensure adherence to exposure concentrations outlined in Amica’s Investment Policy Statement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to the continuous improvement of the credit research process.

The 37.5‑hour work week is scheduled from Monday through Friday, between the core hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. A hybrid schedule will be available once trained to work independently, with three days reporting to our Lincoln, RI office and two days working from home.

This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CFA designation strongly preferred).
