Job Overview

The Finance Operational Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to the Commercial Finance team and liaise with the Distribution Center Controllers team, providing financial insights, operational analysis, and performance reporting to drive cost efficiency, productivity, and informed decision‑making. This role bridges finance and operations, ensuring alignment between financial goals and DC execution through providing clear visibility to DC profitability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Track, analyze, and forecast DC level profitability.
  • Understand and communicate financial trends and provide actionable insights to drive improvement.
  • Partner with DC finance controllers to understand labor, throughput, inventory, shrink, and logistics costs.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance team to understand sales, customer mix, channel mix, product margin, customer margin, supplier margin.
  • Monitor KPIs such as profitability per case, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, variable and fixed EBITDA margin.
  • Track and analyze fixed and variable costs across the P&L, identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Support initiatives to optimize sales mix, warehouse operations, inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports with commentary and recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve financial processes and data accuracy.
  • Support automation and digitalization of reporting tools and workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements.
Job Requirements

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in supply chain or distribution.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and labor management tools.
  • Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and inventory costing.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Good judgment; may work without immediate supervision.
Work Environment

This remote role allows remote work from primary residence; may require occasional travel to company offices or distribution centers.
