Mortgage Loan Officer - Flexibility to Work from Home - Richmond Area

- Contact and pitch realtors on using our company to help their clients with their mortgage needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their mortgage needs and provide appropriate loan solutions.
- Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors.
- Guide clients through the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal teams to assist with timely and accurate loan processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices.
- Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting loan programs and services.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage sales and loan processing.
- Familiarity with industry software such as Arive and Lender Price (not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to analyze client's credit profile and make informed lending decisions.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.
- Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions of loans within established guidelines.
- Knowledge of federal regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements.
- Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.

While this is a remote position, we are ideally looking for someone located in the Richmond, VA area or surrounding counties (Hanover, Chesterfield, Henrico).
This is currently a 100% commission role, but we aim to quickly add a base salary once the candidate's sales are established.
