Tax Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Senior to join their Garden City, NY office.

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for HNW individuals, trusts, partnerships, and closely-held corporations
• Examine complex partnership structures, including reviewing K-1s from private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investments
• Research complex tax issues related to partnership allocations (Subchapter K), investment strategies, and other private wealth matters
• Advise HNW clients on tax planning, identifying and assisting with the implementation of tax savings strategies
• Collaborate with partners, managers, and other advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth transfer and financial planning solutions
• Maintain client relationships as a primary point of contact, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
• Supervise engagement workflow, staff assignments, and project deadlines to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Mentor and train junior tax staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth
• Monitor evolving tax legislation and regulations impacting HNW clients and the private equity industry

• 3+ years of progressive tax experience
• Public accounting experience required
• Knowledge of federal, state, local tax laws for HNW individuals required
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPA preferred
• Microsoft Office experience required
