Tax Manager

Our client is a private equity investment firm. They seek a Tax Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA office.

• Work with external tax accountants to file annual federal and state returns
• Prepare taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculations
• Oversee financial statements, tax filings, estate plans, and special projects
• Support the transaction tax structure and the fundraising review process
• Implement tax strategies to minimize tax liability for individuals and entities
• Liaise with lawyers, trustees, and valuation experts to execute directed strategies
• Track investments, capital calls, distributions, and related financial activities
• Utilize investment tracking software to support efficient financial management
• Assist with cash flow planning, portfolio allocation, and budgeting activities
• Review draft/final Schedule K-1s/tax returns for reporting accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s in Tax preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Private equity/financial services industry background
• Public or combo (Big 4+) accounting experience
• Organized with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to multitask and meet strict deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPA strongly preferred
