Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Our client is a trading firm. They seek a Controller to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Administer payroll processing and reporting, including ADP Workforce Now, time and attendance, payroll audits, and tax reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all accounting reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings
• Perform monthly reconciliations, bookkeeping, wire requests, and expense accounting, including travel and entertainment oversight
• Maintain compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements, including net capital standards
• Develop and implement accounting policies, processes, and systems to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency
• Oversee month-end close, general ledger accuracy, and preparation of financial results.
• Prepare management reports analyzing revenues, expenses, and overall financial health, including recommendations for improvement
• Create financial projections, revenue models, and pro formas to support planning and decision-making
• Manage treasury functions, accounts payable/receivable, and firm banking relationships
• Coordinate audits, tax data collection, and continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls in collaboration with management

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Brokerage reg experience required
• Private or combo experience preferred
• Series 27 required
• Detail-oriented and analytical
