Tax Accountant, Accounting Manager
BASIC Payroll is seeking a Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our fully remote team.
We provide high-touch payroll services to businesses across the country and are proud of our long history of delivering innovative, client-focused solutions in the benefits space.
As a Payroll Implementation Specialist, you'll play a key role in welcoming new clients and setting them up for success. You'll manage the end-to-end onboarding process, from initial setup through processing payroll, in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This includes configuring client accounts in our payroll system, collecting and reviewing required documentation, importing employee data, and ensuring all information is accurate and ready for payroll production.

Qualified candidates will possess:
- At least one year of experience working with payroll, time and attendance, or human capital management systems.
- Working knowledge of multi-state and local taxation, including multi-state garnishments.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and comfort working across multiple systems.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Position Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact during New Client Implementation.
- Manage new client setup from initiation to completion effectively and efficiently based on client needs, expectations and deadlines
- Gather and evaluate data to ensure the payroll is processed accurately and within proper guidelines and laws.
- Train clients on the software and help them gain confidence and proficiency in all new systems.
- Manage workflow through the first payroll period to ensure all payroll transitions are process accurately and timely.
- Work independently and balance 5-10 setups on going at a time.
- Resolve client/system problems by collecting and analyzing information, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions with timely responses.
- Establish and maintain superior relationships with clients.
