Compensation: $28.51 - $39.18 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is currently a hybrid position with at least 2 days in office and 3 days working remotely. Schedule is based off of business needs.)
Responsibilities- As a Staff Accountant, independently perform general ledger accounting tasks and month-end close, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company, fixed assets, payroll, and other accounts for all Tessera Companies.
- Coordinate high-volume fixed asset purchases, record cost of fixed assets (tangible and intangible), track assets, record depreciation, and account for disposals.
- Post customer payments in ERP, analyze accounts receivable, follow up with customers to secure payment, maintain balance sheet schedules, and produce annual schedules for external audits.
- Assist with account analysis and support management in finance department responsibilities.
- Record operational expenses for timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Record monthly banking transactions, enter loan amortization schedules, and prepare journal entries with appropriate work tags.
- Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company, fixed assets, payroll, and related accounts.
- Record and manage prepayments, insurance, and other related transactions; assist with Commercial Policies including endorsements and project bids.
- Prepare and maintain High Volume Fixed Assets Records, manage asset purchases, transfers, sales/disposals, replacements, and expiring assets.
- Manage yearly fleet registrations and assist with state and local personal property tax filings.
- Record garnishments, union dues, payroll payments, health benefits, and vacation accruals; assist with posting customer payments in ERP.
- Follow up with customers on overdue accounts and conduct analyses to monitor collections progress.
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses for Accounts Receivable to support collections performance.
- Prepare, approve, and record bank transactions (Wires, ACH, Deposits, Loans); resolve discrepancies to meet monthly closing deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain audit schedules and supporting documentation; coordinate quarterly reviews for annual audit.
- Assist in developing and enforcing accounting policies/procedures; maintain proper procedure documentation and internal controls.
- Maintain exceptional customer service for internal and external customers with prompt communications and deadline confirmations.
- Be a solution-driven team member focused on exceptional results and cross-training opportunities within the Finance Team.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- 3 – 5 years of accounting or finance experience is required; a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- GAAP, accounting standards, and financial reporting knowledge is preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license required with ability to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance coverage.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL
-compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative (U.S. passport or military ) per REAL . More information at the DHS REAL . - Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted.
