The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and supporting the strategic growth of the organization. The analyst collaborates closely with clinical, administrative, and operational teams to analyze financial performance, evaluate investment opportunities, and identify areas for cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of patient care. Assists with monthly financial reporting and analysis. Delivers actionable insights for existing and proposed programs.
Serves as the key contact for operations during the operating budget process. As a key contributor, you’ll collaborate across departments to ensure financial accuracy and drive performance improvement.
- Analyze financial performance of current and proposed programs
- Prepare ROI analysis for capital projects
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Complete special projects timely with thorough documentation
- Utilize decision support systems and Excel for data analysis
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, variance analyses, and recommendations to leadership teams
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 4+ years of accounting/finance experience (healthcare preferred)
- Professional certification is advantageous (e.g. CPA, MBA, MHA)
- Strong critical thinking skills ability to identify issues, develop solutions and present recommendations to leadership
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Interest in developing AI skills for financial analysis
