* Job Description:
**** General Function / Summary***:
* The Compliance Associate is part of a team that coordinates Federal law and State law Compliance across the organization’s footprint, which includes producing enterprise level reporting and documents for compliance policy, training, general compliance reporting, state and federal regulators, senior management, and the Board of Directors.
** Essential Duties:
*** Manage and process all license applications and annual license renewals held with various federal, state and local governmental departments for all CNG Holdings, Inc., entities.
* Research and review licensing requirements for new products and new states. Advise the business as to new licensing requirements and coordinate with the business in gathering all required documents for new licensing applications.
* Manage quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports, which includes gathering and analyzing loan-level data and financial data to be included in the final reporting.
* Assist with the management of state and federal regulatory matters such as examinations, document requests, third party audits, and consumer complaints. Coordinate and track all pending examinations, examination findings, and examination remediation with the business.
* Develop and maintain Compliance policies and procedures, as well as assist with the Compliance oversight of enterprise-wide policies and procedures.
* Assist with ad hoc Compliance monitoring and testing. Assist with oversight and update of annual Compliance training.
** Minimum
Education and Experience
Required:
*** Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the consumer financial services field, experience investigating, applying for and renewing regulatory licenses and annual reports, and experience with ancillary insurance products
* Working knowledge of TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, BSA, UDAAP, MLA, SCRA, EFTA; knowledge of consumer credit or state licensed lending is helpful
* Work experience in a financial services risk management, compliance, or audit function is helpful
* Working knowledge of compliance, risk and controls within banking or financial industry is helpful
* Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced in Microsoft Office programs
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, comfortable communicating with senior management and executives on sensitive matters
* Proficiency conducting internet and legal research
* Strong project and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize ongoing projects with daily responsibilities
* Ability to conduct investigations, perform root cause analysis, work independently, and handle complex tasks
