Join a dynamic Operational Risk team within Macquarie’s Risk Management Group, supporting the Macquarie Capital business across the Americas. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside talented professionals to drive strong risk management outcomes and add value across the business.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

You will advise Macquarie Capital’s regional Business and Risk teams on the implementation of central policies and frameworks, while providing independent Operational Risk oversight and insights for the Americas region. Your role will involve supporting the approval of principal transactions and major business changes, driving a strong risk management culture, and partnering with teams to ensure effective risk controls. Additionally, you will contribute to the Operational Risk team by delivering discrete projects, conducting risk deep-dives, and preparing insightful reports.

Salary range for this position: $101,000 - $120,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.

What you offer
  • Solid understanding of Operational Risk Management frameworks, particularly within investment banking and principal investments
  • Experience with Operational Risk toolkits (e.g., RCSA, Scenario Analysis) and risk reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and engage stakeholders, including senior management
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Inquisitive mindset, strong attention to detail, and working knowledge of the regulatory environment relevant to Macquarie Capital.
What we offer

At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that’s rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on eligibility criteria, include:

  • 1 wellbeing leave day per year and a minimum of 25 days of annual leave
  • 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of paid transition leave upon return to work and 6 weeks’ paid leave for secondary caregivers
  • 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching
  • Benefits and initiatives to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program, a robust behavioural health network with counselling and coaching services
  • Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription
  • Recognition and service awards
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role
  • Reimbursement for work from home equipment
