Tax Accountant, Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Tax Registration & Compliance Officer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our Sales Partners are fully tax compliant, enabling them to operate confidently and legally while supporting Mukuru's continued growth across regions.

What you'll be doingYou'll be the go-to expert for tax registration and compliance for our Sales Partners, ensuring everything runs smoothly from onboarding to ongoing compliance.
Key responsibilitiesManage tax registration for all new and existing Sales Partners
Ensure full tax compliance in line with regulatory and internal deadlines
Support regional and provincial teams with tax-related onboarding requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and tracking reports
Assist Sales Partners with tax-related queries, documentation, and guidance
Liaise closely with Finance, Compliance, and Sales Operations teams
Identify, manage, and escalate tax compliance risks or delays
Ensure alignment with SARS and relevant regulatory requirements
Contribute to improving processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
Experience in tax registration, compliance, or regulatory administration
Working knowledge of SARS processes (advantageous)
Experience supporting sales agents or field-based teams is a plus
Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Administration
Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage high volumes of work under tight deadlines
High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
Proactive problem-solver with a structured, systematic approach
All Sales Partners are fully tax compliant by regulatory deadlines
Tax registration and compliance processes are efficient, accurate, and scalable
Regional teams feel supported and informed
Risks are identified early and managed proactively
