This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly, collaborative team and work in close collaboration with Independent Financial Advisers, with the aim of delivering comprehensive mortgage and protection advice as part of a holistic financial planning service.
The ideal candidate will provide expert advice and tailored mortgage solutions to clients, ensuring they receive the best possible products to suit their financial goals. You will play a key role in guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to completion, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
The main focus of the role will include:
- Conduct in-depth client consultations to assess financial needs and objectives
- Research and recommendsuitable mortgage products from a panel of lenders
- Offer referrals to protection team where appropriate
- Manage the end-to-end mortgage application process, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate, keeping detailed records of client interactions and product recommendations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, lender criteria, and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and other financial professionals
- Ensure compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and company policies
- Achieve personal and team sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service
- Keep detailed records of client interactions and product recommendations for audit and compliance purposes
To succeed in this role, the individual will need:
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Broker
- Excellent understanding of mortgage products, protection policies, and the UK housing market
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- IT proficient, with experience using CRM and mortgage sourcing systems
