Philip James Independent Financial Advice was established in 2011 and has grown to become highly successful directly-authorised IFA business with over 500 clients and some £150m of funds under advice. We have been awarded Vouched For 'Top Firm' status this year every year since 2018.
We are looking for an experienced paraplanner with ambitions to become an adviser, to join our team of three advisers and three support staff. You will be working with Philip Hanley, director and principal adviser, and closely with the rest of the team, both remotely and in person.
What you’ll be doing :Attending meetings with the director on Zoom and face-to-face, with existing and prospective clients.
Recording, coordinating and effecting follow-up actions, with the admin. team, providers and clients.
Maintaining records of client reviews and current and future actions required, including specific, campaigns, for instance ensuring ISA and pension allowances are used a tax-effectively.
Preparing recommendations, new business submissions and suitability reports.
Assisting with research, due diligence and regular reviews of our advice model and other compliance functions.
Diary and email management, arranging review and other meetings and calls.
What you will need to be the right fit:Part or full Level 4 diploma qualification and looking to progress to Chartered status
Currently working in a, probably larger, financial advisory practice, keen for more involvement and progression.
Able to work as part of our close-knit team, great telephone, online meeting and in-person communication skills.
Based in West Oxfordshire or the Cotswolds, within easy reach of the director’s office in Burford.
Own car and full driving license.
What we’re offering:Starting salary of £50,000, reviewed twice yearly (our advisers are salaried-only with no requirement to generate new business)
