The position is a permanent, full-time position that requires working at our Home Officelocatedat 8223 Sherbrooke Street, Vancouver.

The Corporate Controllerreports to theChief Financial Officer ,andtheir direct reports include
Finance Manager, Cash Accountant and Franchise Accountant.
This position oversees theaccounting functions on a day-to-day basis at a high-level, including AP, AR, GL,capitalassets,and cash management.
As such, advanced knowledge of financial reporting, operational accounting, month-end and year-end close is essential.
The ideal candidate isahands-onmotivationalleader,eager to support new projects,andpromote efficiency within the department and organization.
- Lead the monthly,quarterly and annual close processes ensuringtimelyandaccuratefinancial reporting
- Prepare and review internal financial statements including restaurant-level operations P&Ls
- Lead for restaurant-level and Home Office annual budgets including preparation of budget templates and consolidation
- Manage the fixed assets module including preparation of continuity schedules
- Oversee the cash management process including daily cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Establish andmonitorpolicies and internal controls to ensure compliance with company standards
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and prepare audit schedules and working papers
- Support strategic initiatives such as new restaurant openings or unique projects requiring Finance input
- Collaborate with our Business Intelligence team to support and perform data analysis
- Lead and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of accuracy,efficiency and continuous improvement
- Sound judgmentand effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster a high degree of accuracy and professionalism within the department.
- Ability to communicatefinancial information clearly to individuals who have less technical knowledge.
- Emotional intelligence, and ability to promote healthy conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to lead by example and motivate teams to achieve excellence in performance and accountability.
- Chartered Professional Accountant Designation .
- Minimum of7years'progressive accountingexperiencewithminimumthreeyearsof supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience with Sage 300 is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written,communication and analytical skills.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Final agreed salary may vary based on experience, skills and the unique strengths the successful candidate brings.
