Job Description & How to Apply Below

Hello. It’s nice to meet you.

If you’re looking for a challenge, you’ve come to the right place. We can’t promise where you’ll go, but we do promise no two All Weather journeys are the same because no matter who you are or where you come from, we’re all building something. Every single one of us. Whether it’s a home, a career, a family or a future, we’re all searching for growth.

This is our story too. For more than 45 years, we’ve built the All Weather Group into the largest privately owned and operated window, door and glass manufacturer in the country. But in some ways, we’re just getting started.

Are you ready for this?

At the All Weather Group, you’ll be challenged to think on your feet, learn on the job and make an impact in big and small ways. We won’t hold your hand but we will have your back in helping you build the skills, experience and career you deserve.

We’re currently hiring a Controller for our Edmonton head office location. The Controller is a senior finance leader who plays a critical role in supporting the performance and growth of the All Weather Group. Reporting to the finance leadership team, this role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business support across our Customer Solution Centres and manufacturing operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for a strategic thinker who thrives in a manufacturing environment, values accuracy and accountability, and enjoys partnering with operations to drive smarter decisions and continuous improvement.

There’s more to any job than words on a page, however on any given day, the Controller is responsible to:

  • Lead financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual results
  • Own the annual budgeting and forecasting process using Vena, providing meaningful analysis and insights
  • Support operational and strategic decision-making through performance analysis, cost management, and margin reporting
  • Partner with manufacturing and inventory teams to analyze overhead, scrap, yield, and production efficiency
  • Manage year-end close activities and coordinate with external auditors, including preparation of audited financial statements under ASPE
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, systems, and reporting timelines
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while setting priorities and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Support system enhancements and ERP-related initiatives from a finance and controls perspective
  • Are you built for this?

We hire as much for attitude as we do for experience, because who you are is just as important as what you can do. Here’s who and what we’re looking for.

    Education & Credentials

  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Experience

  • Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, including cost accounting, inventory valuation, overhead management, and margin analysis
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline, Sage, Quick Books, or similar); ERP implementation experience is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of FP&A tools such as Vena and advanced Excel capabilities
  • Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to design, improve, and maintain financial processes and internal controls
  • Effective business partner who collaborates across operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams
  • Confident people leader with experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
  • Clear communicator who can explain financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
