We are an Independent Financial Adviser company located on the outskirts of Leicester, seeking an experienced paraplanner to join our team. The role involves providing support to financial advisers through product and provider research, portfolio analysis, and suitability report writing.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full paraplanning, including product and provider research, portfolio analysis, and suitability report writing.
  • Manage your own workflow whilst using your initiative to meet agreed service levels.
  • Understand and identify possible client outcomes/solutions derived from detailed information recorded in Know Your Client (KYC) documents; assist with information gathering when required.
  • Maintain excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail, adhering to quality compliance standards and delivering the highest level of client service.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience producing bespoke technical suitability reports.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, FE Analytics or other performance analysis software, platforms, and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with various industry systems.
  • Ability to collate relevant information from Fact Finds to complete cohesive, comprehensive reports.
  • Experience with fund performance and risk analysis.
  • Manage complex cases from inception to completion, finding solutions to technical problems.
  • Manage queries and provide suitable remedies.
  • Client‑focused approach recognising the importance of client relationships and service excellence.
  • Driven and focused with the ability to complete large volumes of tasks under pressure and on time.
Education

Experience in a similar paraplanning role and a good technical understanding of investment, retirement and pension products. Ideally hold the level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS), though candidates currently working towards this may also be considered.
