Are you detail-oriented, organised, and eager to develop your finance career? We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team, supporting our Finance and Client Services departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to learn and take initiative.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable (Key Responsibility Area)
- Own and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process.
- Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely updates on customer portals.
- Monitor and track customer payments, ensuring up-to-date records in the debtors ledger.
- Cross-match receipts with the event management platform.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding debt, maintaining strong relationships with clients while ensuring timely collections.
Accounts Payable & Reconciliation
- Assist with processing supplier invoices and maintaining the supplier ledger.
- Perform reconciliations, including tracking key financial project milestones and reconciling event costs with external supplier invoices.
- Provide support during audits by gathering necessary financial documentation.
General Finance & Team Support
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of financial data.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records.
- Provide cover for finance team members during absences.
- Support senior accountants and contribute to wider finance projects as needed.
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical– You enjoy working with numbers and have strong attention to detail.
- Problem Solver– You can identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Organised & Deadline-Driven– You can prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player with Initiative– You work well within a team but also take initiative when required.
- Tech-Savvy & Financially Minded– Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience with accounting software or credit control is a plus.
- Strong Communication Skills– Some customer service experience is helpful for dealing with clients regarding payments.
