What You’ll Be Doing

The Associate, Client Support provides administrative support to the Investment Counselor (IC) in managing their high‑value portfolios and maximizing their productivity. This includes preparing and distributing documentation and information to clients; maintaining the client database and ensuring contacts are up to date; assisting in preparing client presentations, proposals and other marketing materials; resolving client issues and inquiries; providing exceptional customer service to high net‑worth clients;

and managing new business by ensuring correct and timely investment of assets and following up on client referrals and contacts.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $48,880 to $56,980. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job‑related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program. How You’ll Succeed
  • Client engagement – Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Anticipate client needs and communicate promptly with your team to build trust and deepen client relationships. Identify activities, processes and opportunities to improve the client experience.
  • Business development – Proactively identify business opportunities for your team. Work closely with investment advisors to support business development activities and assist in the building of investment plans based on the client’s profile, goals, and risk/reward tolerance.
  • Relationship building – Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities. Grow your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.

You have current accreditation and good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) licensing with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization – Investment Dealer (CIRO‑). It’s an asset if you have Registered Representative (RR) licensing. Financial services and/or brokerage industry experience, and working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.
