A high-growth financial services group is looking to hire a Finance Manager into its central finance team in Southampton. The business is expanding through acquisition, so this is a role with variety, change and genuine exposure across a group environment.

If you’re moving out of practice, or you’ve picked up financial services experience and want a broader role with clear progression, this is a great platform. You’ll support group and subsidiary reporting, help tighten processes as the business scales, and get visibility across multiple entities without it feeling like a never-ending firefight.
What will the Finance Manager role involve?

Production of monthly management accounts for the group and subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Development and improvement of MI and reporting packs, supporting better decision-making across the business
Support month-end processes including balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial control
Oversight of key transactional processes (AP/AR and payroll) and continuous improvement across ways of working
Cashflow reporting plus support on budgeting and forecasting, including input into performance monitoring and integration of newly acquired businesses
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Ideal for a first move from practice into industry, or someone with financial services experience looking for broader group exposure
Comfortable working across multiple entities and priorities, with a practical approach to problem-solving
Strong Excel skills and an interest in improving reporting and processes
Confident communicating with stakeholders and working with external auditors/advisers when needed
