Job Description As a Global Mobility Tax Manager, you will collaborate with a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues, ensuring compliance with tax laws while optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. Your goal is to minimize tax risks and costs, ensuring adherence to relevant laws for both the organization and its employees.
Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Advisory: Review and sign tax returns for globally mobile employees, provide tax and payroll advice to multinational companies and their employees.
Collaboration & Employee Support: Oversee and coordinate remote project teams, ensuring smooth collaboration across global delivery centers.
Client & Business Development: Serve as the main contact for clients, offer tax guidance for business travelers, identify new opportunities, and expand client relationships.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze payroll data, prepare documentation for tax optimization, maintain records, stay updated on tax laws, and present findings to stakeholders.
Research &
Collaboration:
Conduct research on international tax issues, stay current with tax law changes, and work with experts to develop solutions.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Canadian & US individual tax planning.
At least 1 year of experience in people management, resource allocation, project workflows, and client satisfaction.
Preferred experience with cross-border movement, foreign tax compliance, tax equalization, and managing international assignee populations.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation.
Additional Information This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days/week in Calgary, Toronto, or Vancouver.
Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 CAD.
