Core3 are partnered with a high-growth, PE-backed Renewable Energy scale‑up to appoint a Head of Commercial Capital Development.

• Up to £125,000 (some flex) + Bonus + Commission + Equity

Our client is a fast‑scaling Clean Tech with a market‑first renewable energy solution.

The business is well funded, has been profitable for 18+ months and is entering its next phase of structured growth. Capital is central to that ambition. Not as a control function, but as an accelerant.

This hire is a senior, growth‑critical appointment, reporting directly to the Corporate Development Director and working closely with the CFO and wider Executive Team.

This is a senior leadership role sitting at the intersection of capital markets, renewables and commercial growth. The successful candidate will design capital solutions that enable scalable deployment, unlock bankability for partners and widen access to renewable markets.

The core mandate is to move capital from reactive support to proactive growth enablement.

• Lead the design and execution of structured commercial capital solutions across partnerships and GTM channels
• Translate complex commercial opportunities into bankable, scalable funding structures
• Own capital structure, funding economics and risk‑adjusted returns across partner‑led opportunities
• Develop repeatable asset‑backed, project finance, receivables and hybrid funding routes to market
• Align pricing with liquidity usage, covenant headroom and downside risk
• Support investor narratives, lender discussions and capital partner engagement
• Strengthen capital reporting, liquidity forecasting and deployment tracking
• Embed capital discipline upstream into commercial decision‑making

This is not a 'gatekeeper' role. It is about opening doors and ensuring growth opportunities are structurally executable.

Our client is looking for someone with real deployment experience. Someone who understands structured capital in practice, not just theory.

• 7–10+ years’ experience in structured finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance or energy capital markets
• Direct experience in energy, renewables or infrastructure capital (required)
• Led or materially supported complex funding structures or asset‑backed transactions
• Strong financial modelling capability and quantitative expertise
• Sound commercial judgement and comfort operating in ambiguity
• Confidence engaging lenders, investors and capital partners

Formal qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA are strongly preferred, but delivery track record matters most.
