In this critical role, you will lead and oversee the entire Accounting function across multiple regions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. You will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategies that drive growth and operational excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse teams effectively in a fast-paced international environment. Together with your team, you will ensure robust internal controls while enhancing financial oversight across Canada and Latin America.

- Lead and oversee all accounting operations for Canada and LATAM.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Review and validate financial statements in compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
- Manage and mentor accounting teams across multiple regions.
- Coordinate workflows, priorities, and deadlines between Canada and LATAM.
- Act as the main point of escalation for accounting-related issues.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and statutory requirements in all regions.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory entities.
- Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and Executive teams.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Provide insights to leadership for decision-making and business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a strong plus).
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
- Proven experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of multi-country accounting processes.
- Experience working with Canada and/or LATAM accounting frameworks.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems / ERPs.
- Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex processes.
