We’re looking for a hybrid Controller in the finance industry. Our client is a growing company based in Edmonton, AB, and they are expanding their team to support ongoing growth. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning while maintaining strong controls and processes. The role offers a flexible schedule with four days in the office and one day working from home.
Controller responsibilities:
Oversee full cycle accounting and financial reportingManage month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and analyze financial statements and management reportsDevelop and maintain financial controls and proceduresSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementLead and mentor accounting team membersCollaborate with leadership to support business growth and strategic decisionsThe successful candidate has:
3+ years of progressive accounting and finance experienceCPA designation or working towards CPAStrong experience with financial reporting and internal controlsProven leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and analytical skillsAbility to thrive in a hybrid work environment with four days in office and one day from homeCompensation and benefits:
The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $110,000 depending on experienceCandidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be consideredComprehensive benefits packageGenerous bonus on top of base salaryCandidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
