As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the full financial backbone of the organisation and act as a trusted sparring partner for the leadership team. The position offers significant responsibility from day one and a clear growth path towards a role with CFO responsibilities. You will take end-to-end ownership of the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the leadership team and shareholders.

• Own the finance back office, including accounting, reporting, contracting, and controls.
• Prepare and maintain annual accounts (jaarrekeningen).
• Keeping budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with company goals.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights and advice for management.
• Prepare and present shareholder-level financial decisions.
• Continuously improve financial processes to support scale and speed.
• Act as the financial “single source of truth” across the organisation.

This role goes far beyond reporting numbers, it’s about shaping decisions.

You combine strong fundamentals with a startup mindset.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent).
• 3–5+ years of experience in accountancy or financial control.
• Strong and proven expertise in Excel (you’re fast, accurate, and structured)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
• Sharp analytical thinking with the ability to see the full financial picture
• Proactive, ownership-driven, and comfortable advising leadership
• High learning velocity and adaptability. You grow with the company

Nice to have (not required).

• Experience in a fast-growing SaaS or scale-up environment
• Exposure to investor reporting or board-level interactions
