Financial Controller

Overview

I am working with a medium sized business based in the Stockport area to recruit a hands on Group Financial Controller with experience of e-commerce/retail/manufacturing in a similar FC or someone currently in a Finance Manager role looking to step up

• Preparation of accurate and timely consolidated management accounts and Board pack ready for CFO review.
• Analyse and report business Performance daily, weekly and monthly and reporting variances and root cause analysis.
• Forecasting and management of group cash and regular reporting.
• Develop integrated financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
• Work with the CFO to manage robust budget and forecasting processes for presentation internally and externally.
• Ensure the annual audit process runs smoothly and to time.
• Work with the UK Finance team and Finance Managers in overseas entities to ensure monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and in time with the Finance timetable.
• Implement, standardise and improve group wide reporting and controls.
• Ensure that all ledgers are being reconciled regularly and balance sheet reconciliation done diligently in collaboration with the finance managers.
• Managing the credit control team and ensuring debt is being collected on time.
• Develop reports on Business Objects and manage and improve daily schedule reporting
• Review and approve payment runs and spending requests.
• Coach the finance team and implement a continuous improvement culture.
• Manage the insurance requirements for the UK companies and EU companies with the CFO

Providing finance support to the sales and operations and wider teams.

Provide day to day input and support to the CFO and the wider team.

You will be a CIMA, ACA, ACCA Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and proven financial control experience ideally gained within a progressive, fast paced business.

Experience of managing multi-site teams in a medium to large company preferably with some international experience

Advanced Microsoft excel skills.

Robust and disciplined to meet deadlines while maintaining controls.

Salary to £65,000, 25 days holiday, 4 days in the office with one day working from home
