The Opportunity
Mawer Investment Management is looking for an Individual Client Service Associate to join our team and provide critical support to Investment Counsellors and accurate, timely reporting. The successful candidate is expected to be a team player with excellent attention to detail and dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.
Role Responsibilities
Work closely with one or more Investment Counsellors to provide administrative support and build and maintain excellent client relationshipsManage administrative account activities, such as account onboarding, trade preparation, verification, cash management, account reconciliation, document management, and reportingInvestigate and resolve issues, complaints, and requests from clients, custodians, and/or advisorsPrepare and verify accuracy of mutual fund trade ordersPrepare, review, and distribute monthly and quarterly reporting to clientsTroubleshoot and resolve complex internal and external queries; anticipate and avoid potential issuesHelp improve and streamline the client service model and operational proceduresProvide team back-up responsibilities as assigned and as required, including workflow support and colleague coverageDesired Qualifications
3+ years’ related experience in an administrative or financial services roleUniversity business degree or relevant post-secondary diplomaSuccessful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (preferred)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365Working knowledge of individual investment account types (RRSP, TFSA, Taxable, Corporate, etc.) is requiredExperience using Client Relationship Management (e.g. Salesforce) and Trade Order Management (e.g. Sim Corp Dimension) software is an assetRisk management mindset, with a good understanding of internal controls and the Compliance environmentDemonstrated exceptional client service skillsSolid knowledge of investment management business and terminologyHands-on, self-starter with strong interpersonal and team skillsAttention to detail is a mustStrong communication, analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to prioritize and remain composed in a fast-paced environmentWhy Mawer?
