LocationThis is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. If you are located in Ottawa you will be expected to work out of our HQ 3 days per week.
The TeamThe Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be a strategic finance partner to Kinaxis’ technical teams (Product, Engineering, and R&D), and will provide ongoing business support, financial analysis, and performance measurement to key stakeholders within the business units they support to drive continuous profitable growth.
Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives at the intersection of finance (FP&A), technology, and strategy. They will build trusted partnerships, uncover the “why” behind KPI performance trends, and support informed decision-making through financial analysis. Leveraging their experience with financial modeling and data analysis, they will help business unit leaders understand the financial impact of technology investments, product roadmaps, and operational decisions – by translating complex data into clearly articulated, actionable financial insights.
SalaryRange
Annual cash compensation ranges from $79,500 to $116,600, plus a discretionary 10% company bonus. The final offer within this range will reflect the successful candidate’s skills and experience.

What you will do- Perform data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare and present financial data, results and recommendations that are timely, accurate, reliable, and relevant for effective business decision making
- Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for functional groups by collaborating with key stakeholders and collecting and consolidating data from relevant areas, leveraging expertise and knowledge of the business
- Deeply understand the goals of the groups you are supporting and be a trusted and dedicated partner;
Support their evolving business needs through financial analysis by understanding and modeling key drivers and metrics - Help drive standardized operational reporting based on the lines of business; present complex financial forecasting & modeling to make strategic decisions
- Act as a mentor and sounding board to more junior employees on the team; share insight and experiences that contribute to the team’s success
- Develop actionable management reporting and dashboards that clearly communicate actual performance vs. budget and key metrics
- Recommend and implement process improvements that contribute to the evolution of our FP&A support model, including self-serve reporting
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner team to provide consistent communication of objectives and adjustments to the forecast
- Be curious about KPI performance trends and proactively explore the “why” behind the trends
- Post secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field, with a CPA designation or an MBA preferred
- 2-5 years of post-designation experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related role (technology, software or SaaS experience a plus)
