This role will be based in their North York office. Your New Role As US Tax Lead, you will play a critical role within the Family Office tax function, reporting directly to the Family Office CFO and working alongside a team of experienced tax professionals. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for US ie taxpliance, provision, planning, and audit support across aplex, multinational group.

You will lead the preparation of the US ie tax provision, oversee effective tax rate calculations, manage estimated and final tax payments, and coordinate the preparation of US federal, state, and local tax returns. The role offers significant exposure to cross-border tax matters, transfer pricing adjustments, M&A activity, and strategic planning, with regular interaction with senior leadership and external advisors.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the preparation of the Group’s US ie tax provision for financial reporting
  • Managing estimated and final US federal, state, and local tax payments
  • Coordinating data for US ie tax return preparation
  • Developing quarterly transfer pricing adjustment rmendations
  • Supporting indirect tax processes as needed
  • Managing tax authority correspondence, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Co-leading US ie tax audits and managing audit responses
  • Identifying tax risks and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Monitoring US tax legislative and regulatory developments
  • Managing accumulated earnings and dividend rmendations
  • Supporting M&A, special projects, and North American tax planning
  • Managing external US tax service providers
  • Undertaking additional duties as required
  • What You’ll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical US tax expertisebined with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

    You will ideally have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • A CPA designation
  • 5–7 years of progressive US ie tax experience, gained in public accounting or a mid-level industry role
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, including ie tax disclosures
  • Experience preparing US ie tax provisions and advising onplex corporate tax matters
  • Working knowledge of US tax research tools and tax software
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros
  • Excellentmunication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical ability, sound business judgment, and a solutions-focused approach

  • Salary: $140,000–$150,000
