Finance Officer

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering exclusively with this governmental department in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong all-round finance professional to join a busy public sector team and provide broad accounts support during a period of increased workload.

The Role

Key responsibilities:

Prepare and post journals, including accruals and adjustments Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations Support month-end and financial reporting processes Assist with budget monitoring and financial control activities Process invoices and manage expense tracking Maintain accurate financial records in line with governance requirements Provide general finance and administrative support as required

The Person Essential:
Experience working in a busy and varied finance environment Strong general accounts experience, particularly reconciliations and journals Good Excel skills Ability to work independently within a small team Either hold current CTC clearance or be willing to undergo CTC clearance Desirable:

Experience with in the public sector Experience in a regulated or government environment What's in it for you?
