Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with colleagues across finance, HR, operations, and commercial teams to deliver accurate month-end results. You will be responsible for payment approvals, balance sheet reconciliations spanning multiple countries, managing profit and loss statements for European subsidiaries, conducting variance analyses on monthly submissions, handling intercompany transactions, supporting audits, providing ad hoc analysis for operational needs, overseeing accruals and prepayments processes, and participating in regular review meetings.

You will oversee the finance function for five distinct entities within the Clinical & Commercial Pharma Division, ensuring all month-end processes are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Approve payments in accordance with group policy, including payroll bank files, maintaining rigorous compliance standards across all transactions.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations for four entities operating across three different geographies, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
• Take responsibility for the full profit and loss as well as balance sheet management of European subsidiaries by liaising closely with local accountants regarding payroll and tax matters and posting relevant entries.
• Provide insightful variance analysis on monthly profit and loss submissions for multiple entities, delivering clear explanations to support business decision-making.
• Raise intercompany recharges and reconcile intercompany balances each month to ensure consistency and accuracy across group accounts.
• Assist senior finance staff with both internal and external audit requirements by preparing documentation and responding promptly to queries.
• Support operations and commercial teams by providing ad hoc financial analysis as required to inform project delivery or commercial decisions.
• Manage accruals and prepayments processes efficiently to ensure accurate reflection of costs within each reporting period.
• Participate in regular review calls with HR, payroll, and project managers as a trusted finance partner, contributing valuable insights into financial performance.
