Band 5 - Management Accountant
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a 12-month fixed term basis. The Management Accountant is a key member of the Financial Management team. They will support the Finance Business Partner to one of our Clinical Divisions, by ensuring that financial reporting systems and processes are efficient and effective so that high-quality reports are provided in a timely way.
They will also provide accurate and timely financial information to managers, undertake complex financial analyses and investigate complex queries.
The role requires good management accounting experience, a flexible attitude and the ability to produce high quality work within tight deadlines. Preferably you will also have made progress towards a CCAB qualification. The finance team is based at the Mount Vernon Hospital site and there is some flexibility to work from home.
Main duties of the jobThe Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
The safety and well-being of our patients and staff is paramount and we are making urgent improvements to address this - particularly in infection prevention and control. We are making progress by working in partnership with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals, and the wider North West London Integrated care system, and ensuring that we listen and work in partnership with our local population.

Person Specification Essential- Degree level or equivalent education
- Studying or willing to study toward professional qualification
- Experienced user of IT packages such as Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint, and a knowledge of computerised financial ledger systems
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate useful financial information from large volumes of data
- NHS finance experience
- Good organisational skills
- CCAB or CIMA part qualified
- Ability to manipulate report writing software or application feature
- Familiar with One NHS Finance offering
