The RoleThe main elements of this role include:
- Completing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
- Completing draft business tax computations ready for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
- Preparing VAT returns, book‑keeping assignments and management accounts for clients
- Assisting with the filing of financial statements and corporate tax returns
- Raising appropriate queries for the Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager
In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be or have:
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- Either AAT, ICAS, ACCA or ACA qualified (or be "Qualified by Experience")
- Experience of working in an Accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- A dedicated team player, willing to assist colleagues in the team where possible
- Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
- Able to use initiative and have great organisation/problem‑solving skills
- Keen to become part of a dynamic team
