We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity to join our Saga Home Affinity Pricing team as a Risk Pricing Analyst. This role involves working with real‑world data, building predictive models, and influencing pricing strategies to support fair outcomes, sustainable growth, and improved profitability. You’ll use statistical and actuarial techniques to understand customers, strengthen products, and unlock innovation opportunities. Collaboration with pricing, underwriting, and product teams is key to continuously improve and shape future pricing.
Responsibilities- Build, validate and enhance predictive models to improve pricing accuracy.
- Create and maintain datasets for modelling, pricing and performance monitoring.
- Produce clear pricing analysis and present options to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and test new data sources that could improve risk assessment and underwriting.
- Support deployment of pricing changes into live environments.
- Collaborate with underwriting and pricing teams, contributing ideas and sharing insight.
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science.
- Experience working in a data‑driven environment, ideally within insurance or financial services.
- Strong skills in data manipulation and statistical analysis, using tools such as SQL, SAS, R or Python.
- Exposure to predictive modelling techniques, for example GLMs, GBMs or Decision Trees.
- Experience using tools such as Emblem, Radar or Databricks, or a willingness to learn.
- A curious mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
