A fantastic opportunity to join a growing services business based in Coventry as an Accounts Manager. This is a key, hands‑on role working closely alongside the Managing Director, giving you real influence over the finance function from day one - with the opportunity to shape and develop it as the business continues to grow. • Taking ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function, utilising Xero as the core platform
• Overseeing bank reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and the management of credit control processes
• Proactively monitoring and following up on overdue balances to maintain healthy cashflow
• Assessing project performance and profitability through Xero Projects, keeping a close eye on margins and trends
• Examining income, expenditure and project margins to highlight areas of opportunity or concern
• Preparing management reports and delivering financial commentary to support informed decision‑making across the business
• Contributing to cashflow forecasting, budgeting and fee forecasting activity
• Playing an active role in longer‑term financial planning, including input into a five‑year business plan
• Strengthening finance processes, reporting tools and internal controls in line with business growth
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial information is available to key stakeholders throughout the business

The role is hybrid, based in Coventry, with 3 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week. You will be joining a friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment, with direct access to senior leadership and a genuine opportunity to be part of key decisions as the business grows.

• Solid, hands‑on experience with Xero and a thorough understanding of day‑to‑day finance operations
• A proven background in reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and credit control
• Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business performance
• A proactive, self‑motivated approach and the confidence to work autonomously
• Experience with in a project‑based or services business environment is advantageous

• Competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000
