- Progress recovery actions, ensuring prompt payment of invoices and tracing debtors, including liaising with Legal services and/or external collection agencies.
- Maintain debtor accounts, ensuring that refunds, credits, cancellations and write-offs are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all Council income is correctly reconciled to the financial system daily.
- Produce and dispatch all payments, including BACS payments and remittance advice.
- AAT qualification or relevant experience and excellent working knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulations.
- Accurate and possess excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and organise your time efficiently.
- Experience with in a busy administration role within an office environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience of working within exchequer services, delivering accounts receivable, credit control, income reconciliation and some accounts payable.
