Job Title: CM - BUSINESS ANALYST - Glasgow
About the Job you are considering:
Business Analyst in Payments and Capital Markets with expertise in trading systems, settlement processes, and banking/payment infrastructure. Skilled in translating business requirements from front office, operations, and treasury into functional and technical solutions that enable secure and efficient cash movement linked to securities transactions.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Job Role:
- Gather and analyse requirements for trade settlement (DvP, PvP), margin payments, and corporate actions
- Engage with traders, operations, and treasury teams to understand business needs
- Map end-to-end processes across trade lifecycle, clearing, settlement, and cash movement (As-Is / To-Be)
- Create process flows and define payment workflows (RTGS, net settlement)
- Prepare functional documentation including BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
- Define payment flows, SWIFT MT/MX messaging, netting logic, and settlement instructions
- Perform system analysis across payment platforms, SWIFT gateways, CCPs, and CSD systems
- Define data mappings for trade, settlement, and payment instructions
- Support SIT and UAT, ensuring validation of payment accuracy, reconciliation, and settlement completeness
- Act as a bridge between IT, business users, and external stakeholders (custodians, clearing houses)
