**** What you can expect in this role
*** You’ll play a key role in
** Providing Line 2 oversight
** and challenge across enterprise risks, including operational, financial crime, insurance, legislative and
** regulatory risks** (excluding technology and cyber)
* You’ll work closely with business leaders, helping to
** support risk-informed decision making
*** You’ll contribute to the delivering of clear, authoritative and
** outcome-focused risk opinions
** into relevant governance and decision‐making forums, acting as a trusted advisor on risk strategy and appropriate responses.
* You’ll be
** leading initiatives to strengthen risk culture
** and capability as part of a wider business transformation programme, embedding more forward-looking,
** insight-led risk practices across the organisation**.
* You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues who want you to succeed
** What you might bring
*** Experience in
** enterprise risk
** within Financial Services (General Insurance would be a bonus), or a strong interest in building your expertise in this space
* Skills in
** Risk**, with the ability to break down complex issues and explain them clearly—and a
** curiosity to keep learning and developing
*** Experience leading and influencing at senior level, with a
** focus on coaching, capability uplift
** and setting expectations for high‐quality technical judgement
* An organised, thoughtful way of working
* A focus on making a real impact—
** using risk insight to support better decisions
** and deliver positive outcomes for customers and colleagues
