The Role
As a Paraplanner, your primary responsibility will be producing suitability reports and supporting advisers with the preparation of financial planning recommendations. This is a role that would suit someone who enjoys report writing and is comfortable managing a high volume of cases. Rather than spending significant time on administration, your focus will be on delivering accurate, compliant, and well-presented reports that support advisers and clients alike.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Producing suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning cases
- Reviewing client information and adviser meeting notes
- Supporting the preparation of financial planning recommendations
- Conducting product and provider research where required
- Ensuring reports meet compliance and regulatory standards
- Maintaining accurate client records and case documentation
- Working closely with advisers to ensure recommendations are clearly articulated and suitable for client objectives
- Managing a consistent workflow whilst maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience within a paraplanning or financial planning support role and be comfortable producing suitability reports independently.
Ideally, you will have:
- Several years of experience within an IFA or financial planning environment
- Experience producing suitability reports across pensions and investments
- Strong understanding of the financial planning process
- Good technical knowledge across core retail investment and pension products
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- The ability to manage a high volume of work without compromising quality
- A professional and proactive approach to your work
