Financial and Insurance Risk Manager (Hybrid – Halifax Office)
Financial and Insurance Risk Manager – a mix of home working and time in our Halifax office.
Role OverviewFinancial and Insurance Risk Manager will work across the Risk team, influencing pricing, reserving, and capital decisions, and driving a forward‑looking view of risk.
Responsibilities- Shape pricing, reserving, and capital decisions by challenging assumptions and providing insights.
- Work closely with Pricing, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Finance functions and senior business leaders to provide expert oversight, review, and assurance.
- Contribute to the development of insurance risk capability and knowledge within the Risk team.
- Experience working with actuarial, pricing, reserving and underwriting teams in a general insurance setting.
- Strong knowledge of general insurance pricing, reserving, and underwriting, and ability to interpret technical outputs into clear risk insights.
- Collaborative, pragmatic approach with confidence to provide constructive challenge to line‑1 teams.
- Organised and thoughtful working style.
- Commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for customers and colleagues.
- Hybrid working – Halifax Office with flexible hours.
- 36.25 hours per week, flexitime, and hybrid options.
