Overview
Join a diverse and collaborative team of technologists in the Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) who are responsible for the research and development of applied analytical solutions for Black Rock. PAG leverages the Aladdin technology stack, risk & performance models, and data to build solutions addressing specific business problems – problems that require data‑driven insights for decision making. This group is part of the Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) division which owns Aladdin’s financial models and the resulting analytics used by portfolio and risk management professionals both within and outside Black Rock.
Given the diversity of business objectives within Black Rock and across the external Aladdin client community, the models developed and supported by AFE span a wide array of financial products (equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives, and private markets).
- BLK Private Markets, embedding solutions into workflows and decision making across the investment lifecycle e.g., investment due diligence, cashflow forecasting, and portfolio monitoring.
- BLK Multi‑Asset Strategies, delivering solutions across the asset allocation and portfolio construction lifecycle e.g., strategic asset allocation, tactical asset allocation, and risk budgeting.
- Client & Product Analytics, delivering solutions to support Black Rock’s asset‑gathering goals and management of the product lifecycle e.g., new solutions to support digital product distribution, new analytical frameworks to identify opportunities for our client businesses globally and produce insights on our clients’ portfolios.

Black Rock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
The hybrid model accelerates learning and onboarding, while ensuring impactful moments that arise when employees work together in person.
